After a long period of frequent malfunctions it became apparent that the cause of the problem was a faulty remote.
A phone call confirmed a replacement was likely in stock and a follow-up email resulted in a despatch. It arrived quite quickly, within 5 days, and the problems were immediately resolved o my thanks for your prompt response.
